Why a memorial museum?
In the Dominican Republic, there are several museums dedicated to history, geography, and other topics. However, there was no museum dedicated to the memory of victims of state terrorism.

It serves as an educational tool that teaches present and future generations worldwide about the Dominican people's legacy in shaping and building a society based on peace, tolerance, non-discrimination, truth, justice, and respect for human rights.
.Mission
To promote the historical significance and civic awareness of the struggles of multiple generations of Dominican men and women during the dictatorship of Rafael Leonidas Trujillo Molina, its origins, and its consequences, disseminating knowledge to society.
